For Those Rainy Days

If you are in Richmond today, you are most likely inside, curled up by a fire. Well that's at least what I'm doing! Minus the fire but that's only because I'm upstairs while writing this. Anyways! It is a cold, rainy day today and since I have been very bad about editing JMU pictures, I have a small set of shots that I took at the house of the family I nanny for (it's not creepy I promise!) They have this one room that is pink and for a girl who doesn't like pink, I loved the room! It was so classy and has a giant window which was perfect. So I pretended that I worked for Better Homes & Garden or Southern Living for five minutes and this is what I got! So curl up in a blanket of by a fire with hot chocolate or tea and enjoy!

Just Dropping By

Time just needs to slow down. I have had so much to do the past week, I feel like I haven't posted in forever! But with school and now a nannying job, plus friends coming home for fall break, church, and still looking for a second job, life got super busy. Thankfully, midterms are over, I'm on Fall Break (even if that's not what VCU calls it) and I am taking a vacation! Actually I'm just going to spend the weekend with my sister at JMU since this is her last semester living there and my only good weekend to come up! And it will be the first road trip (a short one but still a road trip!) I have gone on by myself and with my 'new' car, JAAAAAaaaaames. You can call him James for short. Don't ask. Anyways! I will have lots of new pictures from this coming weekend to post and I should be getting the pictures from the Villanova game up soon, yay! So, until I get those up, enjoy this lovely picture of a flower from a plant my mom bought recently. I think they are mums but they look like daisies. As you might be able to tell, I'm not good with flowers. Enjoy! Side note: I love this new font but I really hate that it makes exclamation points look like lower case L's.

Maura and Brandon Wedding

Ok so this is another set of older shots, but I really wanted to share them with you. This past May, my cousin, Maura, got married! It was a nice, simple ceremony in her grandparent's house and a the reception was at their church. They had cute, orange (I've heard that's Brandon's favorite color) decorations and a yummy cake! They honeymooned in Myrtle Beach; I hope it was amazing!

Maura has always been a great person to know; she is a fantastic writer (visit her blog here!) and has a wonderful heart for God. I wish we could have spent more time together growing up but we lived in different states so we really only saw each other at Christmas. So here is to the new addition to the family, Brandon, and their long life together!

JMU Homecoming vs. Richmond

This past Saturday was Homecoming at JMU!! It was such a great game not only because it was versus Richmond and we were playing without our starting quarterback but because we won despite it all! My family and I even tailgated, it was a lot of fun, just the four of us eating good Ukrop's food :) Even though it was cold and started raining in the third quarter, I loved it! So enjoy some of my pictures from the game! (I didn't take as many this time because usually once you've seen one football picture you've seen them all but I like to try!)
